Question 6: What camera and lens do you use? And do you use natural lighting?

1. Devon Hall: Canon 5D Mark II, and my favorite lens to date is my Sigma 35mm f/1.4. I use natural light and studio light.

2. Ester Keate: I normally use a Nikon D800 with 50mm/85mm lens if on digital, or Hasselblad with 85mm lens if shooting film. I shoot both natural light and flash depending on the shoot.

3. Jen Huang: All natural lighting, Contax 645 medium format film camera, 80mm Zeiss lens, and Fuji 400H film.

4. Jennifer Bogle: Right now I use a Canon 5D Mark III and a variety of lenses, though much of my portfolio was shot with a 6D. My top three lenses are my Canon 85mm 1.8 and 24mm 1.4L II, and my Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art lens. I use a mix of natural light and added light. Flash can be incredibly useful for creating natural looking light while maintaining the clean, low-grain images needed for stock art.

5. Kyle La Mere: Canon 5Ds and Canon L 50mm 1.2. I’m a hybrid portrait photographer. I love studio lighting and natural lighting all the same!

6. Lisa Tichané: I’ve been a faithful Canon user since the very beginning of my photography journey (I had a Canon film SLR back in the 20th century!). Now I’m using a 5D Mark III and a variety of Canon L lenses, my most used one being the 24-70L 2.8II.

7. Matt Armendariz: Phase One 645 with an IQ 180 back in studio and 120mm lens. On location usually Canon 5DS with a 24-70 lens.
